Labels

SK&T provides both thermal transfer and direct thermal labels.

• Thermal transfer labels are offered in a variety of paper and synthetic formats and can be used in a range of applications. Synthetic labels are a more durable choice – offering increased resistance to abrasion, heat, moisture and chemicals, while paper labels offer a less expensive, yet high-quality alternative. Thermal transfer technology requires a ribbon and matching tag stock material.
• Direct thermal labels are a less expensive way of printing paper labels, but are better suited for indoor applications where temperatures remain moderate. Direct thermal technology does not require a ribbon but uses temperature sensitive chemically coated tag material.

Ribbons

Wax ribbons are ideal for general purpose printing on uncoated and coated paper tags and labels (and some film labels.) For higher durability, stronger resistance to chemicals, wear and severe environmental conditions, a resin or wax/resin ribbon is the recommended choice.

For easy, low-cost maintenance, Clean Start printhead cleaner is also available.

Specialty Media

When a standard label product won't suffice, SK&T carries a selection of specialty products to meet a range of industry demands.

• Wristbands: Polypropylene or polyester material with high-quality printing and color-coding options – ideal for healthcare, government/public safety or educational applications and safe, accurate tracking. RFID compatible options also available.
• ID Cards: Durable plastic card stock with optional security features such as embedded holograms, color shifting ink, and opacity marks.
• RFID Labels: Labels with advanced data capacity, security and flexibility when used with RFID printers and encoders
• Tags: Tag stock for use with direct thermal and higher durability thermal transfer printers

Custom

SK&T also provides for custom die work, design, conversions and pre-printing capabilities.

• Pressure sensitive labels and tags can be produced in a variety of sizes and shapes to fit your individual requirements.
• Information can be pre-printed using custom colors and artwork, including six-color pre-printing in PMS ink.
• Permanent, removable, patterned, or tamper-evident adhesives are available, depending on your specific need and application.
