For the past several years, Qwest Communications, Inc.’s Distribution & Logistics Center in Denver, CO has partnered with SK&T Integration, Inc. to service and support its fleet of Intermec Mobile Computers as well as its Zebra Thermal Transfer Label Printers.  This partnership has enabled Qwest to focus on its business of doing business rather than investing internal resources and human capital spending time servicing and maintaining their hardware investment.

As part of SKT’s suite of offered services, Qwest takes advantage of regular printer maintenance performed by certified technicians as well as the ability to order consumable supplies in regular intervals that are stored in SKT’s local warehouse.  Likewise, when Qwest was looking into updating an outdated batch of mobile devices, SKT was able to determine the best course of action in terms of which Intermec handhelds were the most compatible and would provide a seamless upgrade path in deployment.  Once again, this allowed Qwest to capitalize on its relationship with SK&T to do the leg work instead of using internal resources.
